A 5,6 et 7 ans, il se fait remarquer aux Championnats du Monde des Jeunes chevaux.
A 8 ans il est médaille d’argent aux Championat d’Europe Jeunes Cavaliers avec Maurice Tebbel. Rapidement il s’impose sur la scène International et devient un pilier de l’équipe d’Allemagne,
